There’s something special about being part of your child’s school experience. The little moments. The big events. The smiles you get to witness firsthand.
That’s what volunteering with the Houser PTO is all about.
Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs) were created with one simple goal in mind: to bring families and schools together to support students.
For decades, parents and teachers have partnered through PTOs to help fill the gaps that school budgets alone can’t cover. Whether it’s funding events, supporting classrooms, or creating a stronger sense of community, PTOs exist to make the school experience better for every child.
At its heart, a PTO is about connection. It’s a way for families to stay involved, for teachers to feel supported, and for students to benefit from a community that’s invested in their success.
Because it matters.
Your time helps create moments our kids will remember. Field Day laughter. Celebrations that make them feel special. Support for teachers who give so much every single day.
And honestly… it’s rewarding in a way that’s hard to explain until you experience it.
You get to be part of something bigger than yourself. And your kids get to see you showing up for their world.
Let’s start here, because it matters.
You do not have to have tons of free time to make a difference. You don’t have to sign up for everything. You don’t have to know anyone or have experience.
Whether you have an hour a year or time to be more involved, there is a place for you here.
Every small act adds up to something big for our students.
If the idea of getting involved feels intimidating, you’re not alone.
But here’s the truth about Houser PTO. No one does this alone.
If you choose to take on a larger role, like becoming a board member, you’re stepping into a team that supports each other, shares the workload, and lifts each other up. We figure things out together. We laugh a lot. And we make it work as a group.
You are never expected to have all the answers.
There’s something for everyone:
Help at an event (Field Day, celebrations, etc.)
Donate items or supplies
Volunteer behind the scenes
Step into a leadership or board role
No matter how you choose to help, it makes a difference.
That’s completely okay.
Start small. Sign up for one thing. Come to a meeting. Send a message. We’ll help you find what fits your schedule and comfort level.
Houser PTO isn’t just about volunteering. It’s about community.
It’s about showing our kids that their school matters. That they matter.
And we would love for you to be part of it.
