Great question. PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. We’re a group of parents, teachers, and staff who work together to support Houser students, plan events, spoil teachers (they deserve it), and make the school experience a little more fun for everyone.
Nope. No forms, no fees, no secret handshake. If you have a student at Houser, you’re already part of the family.
Just show up! Everyone is welcomed!
Also no… but we won’t stop you either. We promise we won’t sign you up for anything without asking. Even helping once a year makes a difference.
Perfect. You’re our target audience.
There are plenty of ways to help that don’t require a ton of time. Think quick sign-ups, sending in items, or helping from home. No one is expected to do it all.
Short answer: back to the kids and teachers.
Long answer: events, classroom support, teacher appreciation, field day, supplies, field trips and all the little extras that make Houser special.
We happily accept donations anytime. You can give money, supplies, gift cards, or even your time. Every little bit helps, and yes… we are very grateful.
All the fun ones. Field Day, fundraisers, teacher appreciation, family events, and anything else we can dream up (within reason and budget).
First of all, you’re amazing.
Second, you’ll receive details closer to the event. We promise not to leave you guessing or wandering the school looking confused.
Absolutely. The more the merrier. PTO is for anyone who wants to support our students and school.
Check the website, follow our social posts, read emails (we know… we know), and keep an eye out for flyers coming home in backpacks.
We love those. Seriously. Share it with us. Some of our best ideas come from parents who just spoke up.
Reach out to the PTO anytime. We’re friendly, we promise. And if we don’t know the answer, we’ll find someone who does.
